With more than, respectively, 20 and 30 years’ experience in practicing and developing technical inspections of construction projects in the Benelux for multinational companies, Gilles Bérard and Christophe Roussieau decided to found BuildTIS as an inspection body, risks assessment and analysis in the field of construction and real estate. Their main goal is to give a real added value to their services, by putting back technique, availability and trust at the heart of their relationships with customers.

About Gilles Bérard
After starting his carreer in a well-known technical inspection group in France as civil engineer in charge of performing Technical inspection contracts on huge construction projects as DisneylandParis ParkII, Gilles openned the belgian subsidiary of the group. He drove growth of Technical inspection services portfolio from €0 to multi-million Euro/year by winning technical inspection/risk analysis contracts with significant operators and/or on major projects such as the construction of NATO New headquarters in Brussels, European Parliament real estate department in Brussels, IRET Development, TOTAL Refinery Antwerp,..
As General Manager, he ensured successful integration of acquired companies, manage operations and customer portfolio renewal/growth but remained in the same time very closed to the technical concerns, the core business. So, he was always personally involved in major contracts, within the fields of Building core and shell, Blast resistance, and Fire safety,
About Christophe Roussieau
Christophe Roussieau holds a degree in Civil Engineering for Construction from the Université Catholique de Louvain since 1987. He worked for 25 years in the Real Estate Department of a well-known technical inspection company. He acquired expertise in the technique of fields as stability and buildings’ architecture as well as in management. In 2013, he created his own company offering a range of services in the fields of Real Estate and Construction, including the projects’ assessment, expertise, assistance and technical inspection. The creation of BuildTIS in 2018 is a further step in his ongoing will to offer services with genuine added value to his customers. In this respect, Christophe takes advantage of the contacts he made with highly specialized experts in the numerous fields of Construction and Infrastructure. When such a specialized expertise is needed – may it be on the technical level to the attention of architechts, engineers, experts, companies,… or in relation to property and project management for real estate developers, project managers or maintenance managers… – he calls on these experts or connects them with his customers, ensuring the best quality of services.
